If you are using Adobe After Effects for making videos, there’s no need further adjustment for the quality. Just follow the recommended options given. More 30 frames per second will be better for HD. More frames per sec, the more quality you will have but longer time needed for rendering project. Set video size to 702x1028 I think. Also use the FLV output for easy uploading on YouTube. Note that Mpeg-4 and FLV are the best options for Youtube.
If you are using Windows Movie Maker…stop that and start learning After Effects or Premiere Pro. I’m sorry, but AE will not disappointing you. For those using Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro and Pinnacle, I’m just saying “hi, nice to meet you”.
